Going Green

  • The Reebok Sports Club continues to implement energy saving projects to reduce energy usage, carbon emissions and our general impact upon the environment.

Saving Water

Variable speed drives on water pumps have been fitted to ensure we deliver the right amount of water whilst saving on electricity. Aeration shower heads have been installed and deliver equivalent shower performance whilst only using 2/3 of the water, saving both water and heating energy. Our water optimizers reduce water usage from taps and urinals.

Managing Heat

We use highly efficient condensing boilers that are environmentally friendly, use less gas and burn more efficiently.

Lighting

The club has time switches on lighting. LED lighting is installed in some areas such as the pool using 70% less energy. Motion sensors on lighting are also fitted in some areas.

Plant

We have introduced variable speed drive motors to pool pumps which has produced dramatic savings in energy. The club has also introduced a building management system that controls and closely monitors the club environment and mechanical electrical systems. This system also utilises cold weather as a cooling system.

Re-Cycling & Responsible Towel Usage

The club is working with Canary Wharf and Bayswater to ensure that all refuse is dealt with appropriately. In addition, signs positioned in the changing rooms are encouraging members to keep towel usage to a minimum saving cleaning energy as well as transport energy.
